Since the beginning, Tyrion has been my favourite character. While it's easy to love him for his sharp wit and how he stands up against those who hate him, what I find fascinating about Tyrion is his complexity. He wants to do what's right, but he is willing to manipulate and use the people around him in order to achieve that. He murdered his own father and betrayed his family, but considering the abuse he suffered from them, you can understand why. He went from a smart mouth drunken to Hand of the Queen, Chief Adviser to Daenerys Targaryen, Leader of one of the biggest invasion forces Westeros has ever seen. Well, if we're not counting The White Walkers of course.
So you can understand why I'm so apprehensive about Tyrion's fate in Season 8. I have always hoped that he'll finally get rid of Cersei, slaughtered The White Walkers and find out that Shae didn't betray him, that that Shae was actually an assassin sent by The Faceless Men that was hired to kill Tyrion and the real Shae is fine and she's gonna marry Tyrion and they'll have lots of babies. OK maybe that's a little too hopeful, but all the same I want a happy ending for Tyrion.
That's why hearing this news is like being punched in the gut for me. In an Interview with Vulture, Peter Dinklage has maybe hinted that his character won't survive the Final Season. When talking about Tyrion, Dinklage has said:
"I feel very, very — I’m trying to find the right word. I think he was given a very good conclusion. No matter what that is - death can be a great way out."
While this is vague enough to mean anything, it's clear that Dinklage is very much threatening that Tyrion might never get the chance to see who sits on The Iron Throne. After everything we've been through with the community's favourite character, do you really think that'll allow Tyrion to die before our eyes!? Surely that's too cruel to do to us.
Then again, this is the show that brought us The Red Wedding, so....

I am pretty sure most characters will die in this season. As for Dany and John Snow... how sad. But at the same time, in a sort of disturbing way, GOT has made feel "ok" with the thought of Brothers and Sisters coupling. So will they stay together? or a part... either way is bad... no happy ending. I don't think
Yes! The Red Wedding... That’s exactly what I was going to say. Everyone seems to die. But specially those who have made stupid choices, those that have not being cautious enough and of course those who are morally low also suffer but not alway die. It wouldn’t make much sense for Tyrion to die since I feel he doesn’t cover any of those GOT dying criteria. But as Cersei clearly revealed in season 1: In the Game of Thrones you Win or you Die
